JOIN A TEAM

Your Journey to Soccer Excellence Starts Here

The Viking League offers a unique opportunity for your child to participate either by joining one of our existing teams or by creating their own team. Follow the guidelines below.

Join An Existing Team:
 

  • Explore available teams in your child's age group on our website.

  • Choose a team based on practice schedules, team dynamics, and location.

  • Contact the team coach or manager to express interest and start the registration process.

  • Complete registration by signing up for both the league fee and training fee to secure your spot.

Create Your Own Team:
 

  • Gather friends, classmates, or community members who want to play together.

  • Visit the "Create a Team" section on our website for detailed steps and requirements.

  • Register your team by contacting our league administrators with the necessary details.

  • As the organizer, you can request an assigned coach for practices and matches.

  • Teams practice once a week and play league games on Sunday mornings.

Match Uniform

Order your own uniform with personalized jersey (name and number) shorts, and socks. The order of uniforms will be filled to the manufacturer once 24x pieces has been ordered.

Soccer Cleats

Visit any BIG 5 in SFV to try cleats in person. We often also run 20% promotion. We play on both turf and grass, so we recommend having one pair for each surface. Good-quality cleats can cost $25–$35 per pair, even cheaper with promotions.

Shin Guard

Protect your child's legs during play with durable shin guards. They provide essential protection against impacts, ensuring safety and confidence on the field.

Goalie Gloves

Goalie gloves for youth players come in various sizes, and it's important to choose a pair that fits properly. Gloves that are too large can impede grip and control, while those that are too small can be uncomfortable and restrict movement. A good thickness is something close to 3.5+3MM. You can find decent pairs from $25-$60 range.

Please note the following important points:
 

  • To participate, all players must have waivers signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers are available on our website and must be completed during registration.

  • In addition to the league fee, a training fee applies for each player. This fee covers professional coaching and training sessions.

  • We understand unexpected circumstances may arise. If your team has a scheduling issue with a match or practice, we’ll work with you to find a suitable solution.
