Luke McCarthy is a soccer coach, player, and scout with nearly two decades of playing experience. He has played at club, semi-pro, and academy levels, competing in top national tournaments like the Surf Cup and IMG Showcase, and captained Trojans FC in the UPSL and US Open Cup while attending the University of Southern California.

 

As a coach, he has worked with Downtown United in New York City and at Columbia University summer camps. Based in Los Angeles, he has been coaching with Nordic Soccer since May 2024. He also leads one of the Harvard Westlake middle school teams, and is a scout for German-based IFX Nürnberg along with being a private coach.
